First real post: Dubstep Video!
Sorry to post those meaningless top 10s, without any kind of background what I'm trying to achieve here.
I'm mainly gonna post any music related stuff here. Mostly would be something weird or sometimes it could be something more along the mainstream, but regardless, don't expect me to post the comments of last night's Rockstar Supernova results, if that's what you're expecting.
I think a few of you know I've been switching gears and jumping onto the Dubstep bandwagon, whatever it is...
The mix in the car didn't do too much justice, it was mostly a really harsh sounding mix.
So here's a video, about what dubstep is, and maybe a bit of an intro to what it is.
Dubstep Video
I agree with most of what the people said, it's something new and it hasn't gotten to the point where it's been the same ideas rehashed over and over again, i.e. drum and bass, house, trance.
I also think it's odd that all this "underground" stuff always starts in London. Why's that?
I'm slowly getting into this stuff. Unfortunately dubstep is so obscure right now, but interestingly Toronto, has a monthly event, and its mainly organized by my friend Sek. I think they're trying to promote it right now. Anyway, I think this stuff should and will get bigger in a year or two.
edit: wow I was copying adn pasting this and I screwed up there.
